April 30 - 2018 Las Vegas, Nevada

On our way to Las Vegas

Monday, the 30th, we moved from Glendale, Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada
A 260 miles / ca 420 km move – including a 40 miles/ca. 65 km detour.
It was a nice trip with lots of nice scenery – more mountains 😊

A while ago, we thought we would be done with red rocks for some time, once we had seen Zion.
But then we met somebody, who said we HAD to go to the Valley of Fire, just north of Las Vegas,
so we did a detour to go there.

Here the rocks were RED, and as the name of the place indicates, almost on fire.

At the end of the road in the park there was a bonus: A canyon with formations and colors very different to much of what we have seen before.

It is incredible that there are still places, like this, that can impress us after we have seen so many, but they certainly do!
